Summer Youth Opera Day Camp June 4 - July 13

Opera Unlimited, Inc., a non-profit New Mexico organization dedicated to improving music education for school children, will be holding its 6th annual Summer Youth Opera Day Camp. The day camp is open to elementary-to-high school students, immerses the children  in the music of a particular musical work and culminates in public performances. The focus of this year’s camp will be Gilbert & Sullivan’s Iolanthe, considered by many to be one of G&S’ very best.

The tuition for the camp is $50. Our production, which will use a score and libretto especially abridged for Opera Unlimited, will be given on July 12th and 13th at the Highland High School Performing Arts Center. The members of the staff are all veterans of Opera Unlimited Day Camps and include Melissa Riedel-Espinoza (Music Director), Lisette Hererra (Choreographer), Joe McCanna (Pianist), and Jane & Cy Hoffman (Directors).
