Governor’s Awards for Excellence in the Arts: Nomination due March 9

The New Mexico Arts Commission and New Mexico Arts, Department of Cultural Affairs, are accepting nominations for 2007. Forms are available online at www.nmarts.org 800-879- 4278 or 505-827-6490.
Nominations may include living artists who have made significant contributions to the arts as well as nonartists, businesses and nonprofits or foundations involved in the arts, a news release says. Nominations will be reviewed in March, and recipients will be honored Sept. 14 at a ceremony. Forms are available online at www.nmarts.org under “Breaking news.” To receive a form by mail, call New Mexico Arts at 800-879- 4278 or 505-827-6490.
