In the News! Warehouse 21 Visual Art Project
Hello, my name is Vince Kadlubek, Program Coordinator for Warehouse 21. I am contacting you today to touch base regarding Warehouse 21 and our new building, more specifically about the massive visual art project that will be occurring in April of next year.
Note: If you are not directly associated with the visual arts department at your given school, please forward to those who would be interested.
Warehouse 21 is building a new four million dollar facility on the railyard to serve young and emerging artists. Our facilities will include media, performing, and visual art resources for young and emerging artists to utilize under the DIY-model. It is a two-story, 16,000 sq. foot building on schedule to be finished by mid-April, with our Grand Opening scheduled in the summer.
The massive visual art project I spoke of is basically painting the entire interior of the building with murals between April and July of next year. We have 16,000 sq. feet to cover, and we want the community and other organizations to help make this process an unprecedented collaboration of youth creativity.
All walls, bathrooms, floors, tables, benches, chairs. Every inch of our new building will hopefully be plastered by youth and emerging artists. If you are interested in being a part of this process, need more information, have any questions, want to sit down and meet at some point, please simply contact me by email or feel free to call me as well.
Thankyou for your time.
